Attention Trainers

If you are running in a Non-Lasix race and you have raced on Lasix previously, you must submit to the Stewards or Racing Secretary a Request to Discontinue Salix 48 hours prior to racing your horse. This horse then may then go back on Lasix after the Non-Lasix race, but only by exhibiting a bleeding incident to a veterinarian and the horse then serving the 10 day mandatory bleeding suspension from racing.
If your horse exhibited a bleeding incident to a veterinarian or in the detention barn before racing in the Non-Lasix race, then it too must have the trainer submit a Request to Discontinue Salix 48 hours prior to the Non-Lasix race. In order to race on Lasix again, this horse must exhibit another bleeding incident to a veterinarian and then serve the 30 day bleeding suspension for second time bleeders.
