One of Florida’s top firms to protect horsemen interests in Tallahassee

The Florida Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association is represented by hired Corcoran & Johnston Government Relations to represent the FHBPA’s interests during the legislative session and throughout the year.

Corcoran & Johnston’s duties in Tallahassee include working on behalf of the FHBPA to consistently identify and inform FHBPA of bills of interest being filed, legislative priorities and policy solutions that are available. They also disclose any discussions taking place among the Legislature and Executive Office around these items.

The 2019 Florida State Legislature is scheduled to start on March 5 and adjourns on May 3.

How to Contact Your Elected Officials

Making sure your elected officials know that, as a Florida Thoroughbred owner, trainer or industry member, you are also a voter, a taxpayer and a concerned citizen. Contacting your elected officials and letting your concerns be known is among the most important things you can possibly do to advance the welfare of Florida’s horse racing industry and help create a better business climate for both Florida and northern horsemen.
